Sofa: A General Introduction



A sofa is a type of furniture which allows more than one person to seat, and also provide support for the back and arms. Almost all of them have armrests on both sides. Sofas In Dublin usually consists of armrest on both sides. Sofas can be used in the living room, family room, or in bed-room. Sofas are usually made of wood or metal or even plastic supplemented by padding and is found in a variety of textiles, fiber, and leather. Dublin Sofa is generally considered as the symbol of royalty and excellence.

The most common types of sofa are:

A sofa-bed, as the name suggests, is a sofa couch which can be unfolded to make a bed. It works both as a sofa and a bed as required.

The two-seater sofa is good for two persons to seat on it. one which is used in weddings for bride and groom to sit on it.

A couch is something bigger than a two-seater sofa. It is generally used in living room or family room for sitting purpose or for guests. It allows more than two persons to sit on it generally three or four.

A sectional sofa also known as corner sofa, is formed by adding multiple sections (typically two to four) together usually includes at an angle of 90 degrees. They are generally used to wrap around walls or other furniture.

Chesterfield sofas are also in use these days. It is a deep button sofa, having same height of arms and back usually made of leather.

“Three-piece suit” is a type of furniture having a two or three-seater couch and two armchairs along with it.
